Chief Red Cloud trials at Cranbourne

| September 21, 2009

Chief Red Cloud had an 800m trial this morning at Cranbourne. After missing the start by a couple of lengths, he ran on well to finish in 2nd place.  The winner won easily in the quickest time of the morning, and is undefeated so far from 2 starts.  His trainer Greg Eurell said that he [...]

Smiling Hussy fails to get a start

| September 16, 2009

As expected, Smiling Hussy did not get a start today. Hopefully we will be able to find a suitable race for her soon – and a good track would be nice too!

A new addition to our stable…

| September 16, 2009

Back in June, sadly we had to retire one of our horses Choice of Many as he bowed a tendon during a trial at Rosehill. Well, we have just received news from the Syndicators that they have been able to replace this boy with a 2YO filly by Shamardal (USA). Her mother is the Our [...]

Smiling Hussy nominated for Morphettville Parks

| September 14, 2009

Smiling Hussy has been nominated for a 1000m Class 1 race at Morphettville Parks on Wednesday. Currently she is 3rd Emergency for the race, so it is unlikely that she will get a start. With the current track conditions and weather forecasts for the next couple of days, I don’t think the track is likely to [...]

New trainer for Alpha Bravo

| September 1, 2009

I have just heard that Alpha Bravo will be transferring from Danny O’Brien’s stables, to Ciaron Maher’s stables down at Warrnambool. Ciaron trained the winner 2007 Emirates Stakes (G1), Tears I Cry. Alpha Bravo will have a short break to freshen up, before heading to his new “home” in a couple of weeks time. Ciaron [...]

Pedigree update for our Fusaichi Pegasus colt

| August 31, 2009

There has been a pedigree update overnight for our syndicate’s Fusaichi Pegasus – Marrouge colt. Triple Luck, the winner of the G1 Sprint Trophy in Malaysia yesterday, is an Australian Bred son of the Snippets stallion Akhenaton, who is also out of Marrouge. Akhenaton was also a G1 winner during his career, winning the 2000 BTC [...]

Alpha Bravo disappoints at Ballarat

| August 26, 2009

Sadly Alpha Bravo did not perform as well as he did in his debut start at Cranbourne a couple of weeks ago. He did not appear comfortable in the going, and finished 12th of the 15 runners. One thing that was apparent watching the race on TV is how immature he looked compare to the [...]

Alpha Bravo – Ballarat Thursday 26 August

| August 25, 2009

I have just received word that Alpa Bravo will be having his second start at Ballarat tomorrow. He is No. 11 in Race 4, a 1400m maiden for colts & geldings 3YO and up. He will be ridden by Michelle Payne. Fingers crossed he has a good run against the older horses.

Alpha Bravo finishes 4th on debut

| August 9, 2009

Alpha Bravo finished 4th at his first start at Cranbourne earlier today. He was ½ a length from 3rd. I was quite pleased with his run, and think will take great benefit from his first start.  The stable reports that he pulled up well immediately after the race and provided he recovers well in the [...]

Alpha Bravo – Cranbourne Sunday 9 August

| August 7, 2009

I have just received the details of Alpha Bravo’s race at Cranbourne on Sunday 9 August. He is No.1 in Race 1, the “De Bortoli Wines SV 3YO Maiden Plate” over 1400m. There are 7 acceptors for the race, and Dean Yendall has been booked for the ride. “Bravo” will start from Barrier No. 2. I have recently [...]
