All of the latest from Mzalia…

Vale Colt (aka BIS Aust Ch Mzalia Texas Gunfighter)

On Monday we received the sad news from Tasmania, that our handsome old boy Colt had passed away. He would have been 11 in June

Owned by Stan & Eileen Laycock of Eilsta Basenjis, Colt was a successful showdog in his time, being a Best in Show winner, as well as a multiple Best in Group winner.

From limited opportunities at stud he sired some very nice puppies, the stars being Tasmania’s first basenji Grand Champion – the Runner-up Best in Show  & multiple Class in Show winning Aust Grand Ch Eilsta Temple Fury, and Best in Group and multiple Class in Group winning Aust Ch Zichy Eumina Cangelca.

But most importantly of all, he was the much loved companion and friend of his owners Stan & Eileen Laycock. An extraordinary talker and boy with tons of character, every morning Colt greet them with lots of yodels, and wait impatiently for his post breakfast hugs and cuddles.

Colt will be sadly missed by everyone at Eilsta and Mzalia Basenjis.

Farewell old boy.
