Dual Command set foot on the racetrack for the first time last Wednesday, taking part in an 800m jumpout in Canberra. His trainer Barb Joseph reported that jumped well and did most things right, before tiring over the concluding stages finishing 4th, 4 lengths behind the winner. Given he is a slow mating horse, he [...]

Chief Red Cloud will have his next start at Ballarat on Thursday 1 October. He is No.1 in Race 2 and he will be ridden by Dean Holland. This distance is likely to be too short for him (I think he is more likely to be a 2000m to 2400m horse), but will be interesting [...]

Smiling Hussy had her first race back after a spell today, and finished in 7th place of the 16 horse field. She had only a couple behind her as the field came onto the home straight, but she picked up a few places finishing 13 lengths behind the winner. Whilst the margin was not flattering, [...]

As expected, Smiling Hussy did not get a start today. Hopefully we will be able to find a suitable race for her soon – and a good track would be nice too!

Back in June, sadly we had to retire one of our horses Choice of Many as he bowed a tendon during a trial at Rosehill. Well, we have just received news from the Syndicators that they have been able to replace this boy with a 2YO filly by Shamardal (USA). Her mother is the Our [...]

Smiling Hussy has been nominated for a 1000m Class 1 race at Morphettville Parks on Wednesday. Currently she is 3rd Emergency for the race, so it is unlikely that she will get a start. With the current track conditions and weather forecasts for the next couple of days, I don’t think the track is likely to [...]

There has been a pedigree update for our 2YO Bel Esprit colt. Yesterday in New Zealand, One Swanstonstreet won the Listed Carters-Gib Fillies Stakes at Wanganui, at just her third race start. One Swanstonstreet’s 3rd dam Quietness is a half-sister to Lady Acumen, the dam of our Bel Esprit colt.
