Chief Red Cloud ran 3rd again at Cranbourne today. The track was again a Slow 7, and only 4 horses started. 

Chief jumped well settling in 2nd place, but lost position just before the home straight. Once they turned for home, he again picked up again to finish 3rd.

From watching his 2 races on TV so far, he certainly seems like a horse looking for 1600-2000m, and I am not sure if he is really comfortable on heavier going.

If he pulls up OK, hopefully his next start will be over a longer distance, and on a better track, so we can get a bit better idea of his ability.
